ويلحق اﻹنتاج غير المشروع بالمخدرات أضرارا جسيمة بتنمية المحاصيل وتحقيق اﻷمن الغذائي في البلدان الفقيرة، ويعرض للخطر الوحدة الوطنية للدول وأمنها.

The forthcoming World Food Summit, to which his delegation attached great importance, would provide the first opportunity at the level of heads of State or Government to marshal the global commitment required for the eradication of hunger and malnutrition and the achievement of food security for all.
٥ - وأردف قائلا إن من شأن مؤتمر القمة العالمي لﻷغذية المزمع عقده قريبا والذي يوليه وفد بلده اهتماما كبيرا أن يتيح الفرصة للمرة اﻷولى على مستوى رؤساء الدول أو الحكومات لحشد الالتزام العالمي المطلوب للقضاء على الفقر وسوء التغذية وتحقيق اﻷمن الغذائي للجميع.

42. The Food and Agricultural Organization of the United Nations (FAO) will convene a World Food Summit in November 1996 at Rome, with the aim of renewing the commitment of the world leaders at the highest level to the eradication of hunger and malnutrition and the achievement of food security for all, through the adoption of concerted policies and actions at global, regional and national levels.
٤٢ - ستعقد منظمة اﻷمم المتحدة لﻷغذية والزراعة مؤتمر قمة عالميا لﻷغذية في تشرين الثاني/نوفمبر ١٩٩٦ في روما، بهدف تجديد التزام قادة العالم على أعلى مستوى بالقضاء على الجوع وسوء التغذية وتحقيق اﻷمن الغذائي للجميع، من خلال اعتماد سياسات وإجراءات مشتركة على الصعيد العالمي واﻹقليمي والوطني.
