2. Appreciates the measures taken by the Department of Public Information and the Centre for Human Rights of the Secretariat to ensure the further production and effective dissemination of human rights information materials in cooperation with regional, national and local organizations, as well as with Governments;
٢ - تقدر التدابير التي اتخذتها إدارة شؤون اﻹعلام ومركز حقوق الانسان التابع لﻷمانة العامة لكفالة موالاة إنتاج المواد اﻹعلامية المتعلقة بحقوق اﻹنسان ونشرها بفعالية بالتعاون مع المنظمات اﻹقليمية والوطنية والمحلية، وكذلك مع الحكومات؛

2. Appreciates the measures taken by the Department of Public Information and the Centre for Human Rights of the Secretariat to ensure the further production and effective dissemination of human rights information materials in cooperation with regional, national and local organizations, as well as with Governments;

Given the need for integrated reporting, mandates contained in Commission resolution 39/5 on the preparation of a joint work plan between the Division for the Advancement of Women and the Centre for Human Rights of the United Nations Secretariat are reflected in section I of the present report.

" 4. Requests the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights to give the highest priority, through her Office and the Centre for Human Rights of the Secretariat, to the follow-up of programmes and activities for combating racism and racial discrimination;

It continues to support the comprehensive study of the impact of armed conflict on children being undertaken by Graça Machel and the Centre for Human Rights of the Secretariat, pursuant to General Assembly resolution 48/157.

6. Notes with appreciation the contribution made by the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights and the Centre for Human Rights of the Secretariat to the development of the humanitarian early-warning system of the Department of Humanitarian Affairs of the Secretariat, and takes note of ongoing consultations in this regard;
٦ - تلاحظ مع التقدير مساهمة مفوض اﻷمم المتحدة السامي لحقوق اﻹنسان ومركز حقوق اﻹنسان التابع لﻷمانة العامة في تطوير نظام اﻹنذار المبكر اﻹنساني التابع ﻹدارة الشؤون اﻹنسانية باﻷمانة العامة، وتحيط علما بالمشاورات الجارية في هذا الصدد؛

Notes with appreciation the contribution made by the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights and the Centre for Human Rights of the Secretariat to the development of the humanitarian early-warning system of the Department of Humanitarian Affairs, and takes note of ongoing consultations in this regard;

31. In accordance with the World Campaign for Human Rights, the Department of Public Information and the Centre for Human Rights, of the United Nations Secretariat, should give full publicity to the work of the Special Rapporteur on Violence Against Women and should disseminate her findings and conclusions widely.

In recent times, since the resources allocated to these activities in the programme budget are quite limited, a number of such training seminars have been planned, organized and conducted jointly with other United Nations entities such as the United Nations International Drug Control Programme and the Centre for Human Rights of the Secretariat, as well as international professional organizations.

Requests the Secretary-General, through the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights and the Centre for Human Rights of the Secretariat, to take appropriate steps to ensure financial and human resources for the urgent establishment, in conjunction with the International Civilian Mission to Haiti, of a special programme of assistance to the Government and people of Haiti in their efforts to ensure the observance of human rights;
