2. This Protocol shall not apply to " mines " as defined in Article 2 of the Protocol on Prohibitions or Restrictions on the Use of Mines, Booby-Traps and Other Devices, as amended on 3 May 1996, annexed to this Convention.

4. Pursuant to Article 4, Paragraph 3 of the Convention, expressions of consent to be bound by any of the Protocols annexed to this Convention shall be optional for each State, provided that at the time of the deposit of its instruments of accession thereto, that State shall notify the Depositary of its consent to be bound by any two or more of these Protocols.
4- وعملاً بالفقرة 3 من المادة 4 من الاتفاقية، يكون الإفصاح عن الموافقة على الالتزام بأي من البروتوكولات الملحقة بالاتفاقية اختيارياً لكل دولة، شريطة أن تعمد تلك الدولة، لدى إيداعها وثائق انضمامها إليها، إلى إشعار الوديع بموافقته على أن تكون ملزَمة بأي اثنين أو أكثر من هذه البروتوكولات.

On the one hand, as described in paragraph 4 above, expressions of consent to be bound by any of the Protocols annexed to this Convention shall be optional for each State, provided that at the time of the deposit of its instruments of accession thereto, that State shall notify the Depositary of its consent to be bound by any two or more of these Protocols (Article 4, Paragraph 3 of the Convention).
(أ) من جهة، على نحو ما يرد في الفقرة 4 أعلاه، فإن الإفصاح عن الموافقة على الالتزام بأي من البروتوكولات الملحقة بالاتفاقية يكون اختيارياً لكل دولة، شريطة أن تعمد تلك الدولة، لدى إيداعها وثيقة انضمامها إلى الاتفاقية، إلى إشعار الوديع بموافقتها على أن تكون مُلزَمة بأي اثنين أو أكثر من هذه البروتوكولات (الفقرة 3 من المادة 4 من الاتفاقية).
