9.1 By submission of 8 January 2009, the State party stated that, on 24 April 2008, the Court of Appeal of Bucharest sentenced the author to 10 years of imprisonment for crimes committed on the territory of the State party, namely the crime of " constitution of and participation in terrorist groups, financing terrorist acts and complicity in terrorist activities.
