اعتبارا من يوم الاثنين ٣ تشرين الثاني/ نوفمبر ١٩٩٧، وطوال بقية الشهر، تعقد رئاسة مجلس اﻷمن جلسات إعلامية غير رسمية بشأن اﻷعمال الراهنة للمجلس للدول اﻷعضاء في اﻷمم المتحدة غير اﻷعضاء فــي المجلس وذلك بصفــة يومية، فيما عدا اﻷيام التي لا يكون مقررا إجراء مشاورات غير رسمية فيها.
