The main objective of the present report is to provide to the Economic and Social Council the results of the joint meetings held between the Bureau of the Council and the bureaux of its functional commissions, as well as some recommendations for improving not only the working methods of the functional commissions but also the coordination and collaboration among them.
١ - الهدف اﻷساسي من هـذا التقرير هـو عـرض نتائج الاجتماعـات المشتركـة المعقودة بين مكتب المجلس الاقتصادي والاجتماعي ومكاتب لجانه الفنية، وكذلك عرض بعض التوصيات الرامية إلى تحسين أساليب عمل اللجان الفنية وزيادة التنسيق والتعاون فيما بينها.

83. With a view to promoting coherence among United Nations bodies and encouraging effective inter-agency partnerships, it may be desirable to institute regular interaction between the Bureau of the Council and the chairpersons of the governing bodies of the funds, programmes and specialized agencies, particularly with respect to the main theme of the Council.
83 - ومن أجل تعزيز الاتساق بين هيئات الأمم المتحدة وتشجيع إقامة شراكات فعالة فيما بين الوكالات، يُحبذ إقامة تفاعل منتظم بين مكتب المجلس ورؤساء مجالس إدارة الصناديق والبرامج والوكالات المتخصصة، لا سيما فيما يتعلق بالموضوع الرئيسي للمجلس.
