While all these missions demonstrate ever-increasing interaction between United Nations country teams and parliaments at the country level, they also provide evidence of institutional gaps that need to be filled, particularly in terms of working with parliaments not only as the recipients of international assistance, but also as major partners in the design and monitoring of key national strategies.
