2.8 On 20 November 2007, the author petitioned the Supreme Court to declare the detention order, the preliminary hearing and the trial null and void and to order his release on the grounds that he had not been properly indicted on the embezzlement charge on which the application for a detention order had been based (request for cognizance).
2-8 وفي 20 تشرين الثاني/نوفمبر 2007، قدَّم صاحب البلاغ التماساً إلى المحكمة العليا بأن تنظر في دعواه لإعلان أمر الاحتجاز وجلسة الاستماع الأولية والمحاكمة باطلة ولاغية، والأمر بإطلاق سراحه على أساس أن اتهامه بجريمة الاختلاس غير سليم وهو الاتهام الذي استند إليه طلب أمر احتجازه.

Subsequently, because his application for dismissal had not been granted and CADIVI's possible responsibility was being totally ignored in the criminal investigations, the author filed a request for cognizance (recurso de avocamiento) before the Supreme Court.
وبناء عليه، وبسبب عدم الموافقة على طلبه رفض القضية، والتجاهل التام في التحقيقات لإمكانية تحمل لجنة CADIVI للمسؤولية الجنائية، قدّم صاحب البلاغ طلباً بأن تنظر المحكمة العليا في دعواه (recurso de avocamiento).

وينبغي إجراء اﻷعمال التحضيرية والتخطيط لنصف القرن الثاني من عمر اﻷمم المتحدة في ظل الاعتراف الكامل بهذا القصور، وبغرض تعزيز فعالية المنظمة في تنفيذ المهام المتفق عليها والتي تشد انتباه المجتمع الدولي بأكمله وتكتسي أهمية له.
