The proposed report is complementary to the previous Joint Inspection Unit report entitled " More coherence for enhanced oversight in the United Nations system " (A/53/171), and is basically a synthesis, with an expanded coverage, of a series of notes on the handling of Joint Inspection Unit reports by various participating organizations produced during the course of 1999 and early 2000.
