6 - يقرر إجراء مناقشة متعمقة لجميع الجوانب المتصلة بتقرير التنمية البشرية، بما يشمل ما يتعلق منها بالوفاء بالأحكام ذات الصلة من قرار الجمعية العامة 57/264، بغية تحسين نوعية التقرير ودقته، فضلا عن الحفاظ على مصداقيته وحياده، دون المساس باستقلاليته التحريرية.

5. Invites the Executive Board to include in its annual work plan as from 2003 a separate agenda item on the report to improve the consultation process with Member States regarding the Human Development Report with a view to improving its quality and accuracy without compromising its editorial independence and to ensure the full implementation of the present resolution;
5 - تدعو المجلس التنفيذي إلى أن يدرج في خطة عمله السنوية اعتبارا من عام 2003 بندا منفصلا ضمن بنود جدول الأعمال يتعلق بتقرير التنمية البشرية، بهدف تعزيز المشاورات التي تجري مع الدول الأعضاء بشأن التقرير، بغرض تحسين نوعيته وزيادة دقته دون المساس باستقلاليته التحريرية وأن يكفل تنفيذ هذا القرار تنفيذا تاما؛
