31. The European Union welcomed the adoption of the Declaration on the midterm review of the Almaty Programme of Action -- which was balanced and comprehensive and would play its part in ensuring a partnership among landlocked countries, transit countries and development partners.

1. The General Assembly, in its resolution 66/214, decided to hold a comprehensive 10-year review conference on the Almaty Programme of Action in 2014, in accordance with paragraph 49 of the Almaty Programme of Action and paragraph 32 of the Declaration on the midterm review.
1 - قررت الجمعية العامة، في قرارها 66/214، أن تعقد في عام 2014 مؤتمراً استعراضياً شاملاً من المؤتمرات التي تعقد كل عشر سنوات لاستعراض تنفيذ برنامج عمل ألماتي وفقاً للفقرة 49 من برنامج عمل ألماتي والفقرة 32 من الإعلان المتعلق باستعراض منتصف المدة.

The present report is submitted pursuant to General Assembly resolution 64/214 of 21 December 2009, in which the Assembly requested the Secretary-General to submit to the Assembly at its sixty-fifth session an analytical report on the progress made in the implementation of the Almaty Programme of Action and the Declaration on the midterm review thereof.

Mongolia fully endorsed the provisions of the Declaration on the midterm review of the Almaty Programme of Action (A/63/L.3) and commended the considerable efforts of United Nations organizations, particularly the Office of the High Representative in coordinating system-wide activities to promote implementation.
