The Committee had also considered the process for the evaluation of perfluorooctane sulfonic acid, its salts and perfluorooctane sulfonyl fluoride, the approach to the evaluation of chemicals in accordance with Annex E to the Convention and how to assess the possible impact of climate change on the work of the Committee, and it had agreed on draft guidance on those matters for consideration by the Conference of the Parties at its next meeting.

In its decisions POPRC-7/2 and POPRC-7/3, the Committee decided that the proposals on chlorinated naphthalenes and hexachlorobutadiene met the screening criteria set out in Annex D to the Convention and established ad hoc working groups to review the proposals further and develop draft risk profiles in accordance with Annex E to the Convention.
