Over the last four years Egypt has received four visits by OHCHR delegations )in April 2011, May 2012, February 2014 and May 2014( for official consultations on a host agreement for the OHCHR North Africa Regional Office which is located in Cairo, and on technical cooperation. Further consultations are expected to be held on the draft agreement before it is presented to the Egyptian Parliament following elections.
96- استقبلت مصر وفد المفوضية العليا لحقوق الإنسان أربع مرات خلال الأربع السنوات الماضية، وذلك في إبريل 2011، ومايو 2012، وفبراير 2014، ومايو 2014 لإجراء جولات من المشاورات الرسمية حول اتفاقية استضافة المقر الإقليمي لمكتب المفوضية لشمال إفريقيا بالقاهرة، وكذلك مجالات التعاون الفني، ومن المنتظر إجراء جولات أخرى من المشاورات حول مشروع الاتفاقية تمهيداً لعرضها على البرلمان المصري عقب انتخابه.

Can non-governmental organizations working to protect human rights in the territory of the State party freely disseminate information on their activities and the safeguards set forth in the Covenant? Please explain how the associations bill promulgated by the Egyptian Parliament on 3 June 2002 differs from Act No. 153 of 1999 on " private associations and institutions " , which was ruled unconstitutional in June 2000.
32- هل يجوز للمنظمات غير الحكومية المعنية بحقوق الإنسان التي تعمل بإقليم الدولة الطرف أن تنشر معلومات عن أنشطتها وعن الضمانات المنصوص عليها في العهد بدون قيود؟ يرجى توضيح الاختلاف بين مشروع القانون الخاص بالجمعيات الذي أصدره البرلمان المصري في 3 حزيران/يونيه 2002 والقانون 153 لسنة 1999 بشأن " الجمعيات والمؤسسات الخاصة " الذي حكم بعدم دستوريته في حزيران/يونيه 2000.

Bearing in mind the immediate relevance of the aforementioned draft laws to the implementation of Security Council resolution 1540 (2004), Egypt intends to submit additional information to the 1540 Committee immediately upon adoption of the said draft laws by the Egyptian Parliament. Enclosure

110. Pursuant to a recommendation of the Egyptian Parliament, efforts have been made to incorporate the provisions of the Convention on the Rights of the Child and other human rights instruments into the academic curricula at faculties of law, arts, social work, nursery school teaching and education in a manner that reflects the importance of disseminating information about these rights.

94. The Egyptian Parliament adopted a recommendation to the effect that the Convention on the Rights of the Child and other relevant human rights instruments should be incorporated into the curricula of colleges of law, literature and social service, education and early childhood education, on the grounds that it was essential for information about those rights to be disseminated as widely as possible.
