1. Please indicate whether the State party has adopted a comprehensive anti-discrimination law that contains a definition of discrimination against women in accordance with article 1 of the Convention, encompassing both direct and indirect discrimination and covering all areas of the Convention.

In its previous concluding comments (see A/58/38, sect. IV, para. 357), the Committee expressed concern about the lack of any specific definition of discrimination in the domestic legislation and recommended that a definition of discrimination against women, encompassing both direct and indirect discrimination in accordance with article 1 of the Convention, be included in the domestic legislation.
أعربت اللجنة، في ملاحظاتها الختامية السابقة (انظر A/58/38، الفرع الرابع، الفقرة 357)، عن قلقها لأنه ليس هناك أي تعريف محدد للتمييز في التشريعات المحلية وأوصت بأن يدرج فيها تعريف للتمييز ضد المرأة يشمل كلا من التمييز المباشر وغير المباشر وفقا للمادة 1 من الاتفاقية.

14. The Committee requests the State party to revisit its Law on Gender Equality and consider repealing its discriminatory provisions, such as different ages for marriage for men and women and to ensure that the Law contains a definition of discrimination in line with article 1 of the Convention, encompassing both direct and indirect discrimination, and extending to acts of discrimination by public and private actors in accordance with article 2.
14 - وتطلب اللجنة إلى الدولة الطرف أن تراجع قانونها المتعلق بالمساواة بين الجنسين وأن تنظر في إلغاء ما ينطوي عليه من أحكام تمييزية، من قبيل تباين سن الزواج بالنسبة للرجل والمرأة، وأن تكفل إدراج تعريف للتمييز في القانون يتماشى مع المادة 1 من الاتفاقية، بما يشمل التمييز المباشر وغير المباشر معا ويغطي أيضا أفعال التمييز التي ترتكبها الجهات الفاعلة العامة والخاصة وفقا للمادة 2.

The Committee urges the State party to incorporate in its Constitution and/or other appropriate national legislation, the definition of discrimination, encompassing both direct and indirect discrimination, in line with article 1 of the Convention.
وتحث اللجنة الدولة الطرف على أن تُدرج في دستورها و/أو التشريعات الوطنية الملائمة الأخرى تعريف التمييز الذي يشمل التمييز المباشر وغير المباشر على حد سواء وذلك انسجاما مع المادة 1 من الاتفاقية.

The Committee is also concerned that there is no definition of discrimination in line with article 1 of the Convention, encompassing both direct and indirect discrimination, in national legislation.
واللجنة تشعر بالقلق أيضا إزاء عدم وجود تعريف للتمييز في التشريع الوطني يتماشى مع المادة 1 من الاتفاقية بحيث يشمل التمييز المباشر والتمييز غير المباشر معا.

13. The Committee urges the State party to enact appropriate national legislation containing prohibition of discrimination against women in line with article 1 and article 2, subparagraph (b) of the Convention, encompassing both direct and indirect discrimination.
13 - وتحث اللجنة الدولة الطرف على سن قوانين وطنية ملائمة تنص على حظر التمييز ضد المرأة وفقا لأحكام الفقرة الفرعية (ب) من المادة 1 ومن المادة 2 من الاتفاقية، وتشمل كل من التمييز المباشر وغير المباشر.
