With respect to the existing and potential threats in the sphere of information and telecommunications security and possible cooperation measures to address them, there is an existing procedure under which information obtained is transmitted, as appropriate, to the Ministry of Information, and regulated by the Superintendency of Telecommunications.

As Chair of the Group, I cannot help expressing delight or resist the temptation to announce that, for the first time in United Nations history, such a consensus was reached in the matter of countering existing and potential threats in the sphere of information security that are among the most serious challenges of the twenty-first century.
