17. The President recalled that the First Conference had considered the estimated costs of the Second Conference and had recommended those estimates for adoption, as indicated in paragraph 45 of the Final Document of the First Conference.

19. At the same plenary meeting, the Conference adopted its agenda, as contained in CCW/P.V/CONF/2011/1, and confirmed the Rules of Procedure, as contained in Annex II of the Final Document of the First Conference (CCW/P.V/CONF/2007/1).

The President recalled that the rules of procedure for conferences of the High Contracting Parties to Protocol V had been adopted at the First Conference on the recommendation of its Preparatory Committee, as indicated in paragraph 17 of the Final Document of the First Conference (CCW/P.V/CONF/2007/1).

10. The President recalled that the rules of procedure for conferences of the High Contracting Parties to Protocol V had been adopted at the First Conference on the recommendation of its Preparatory Committee, as indicated in paragraph 17 of the Final Document of the First Conference (CCW/P.V/CONF/2007/1).

2. The Temporary President recalled that the First Conference of the High Contracting Parties to Protocol V had nominated Ambassador Edvardas Borisovas of Lithuania as President-designate of the Second Conference, as indicated in paragraph 44 of the Final Document of the First Conference (CCW/P.V/CONF/2007/1).
2- الرئيس المؤقت: ذكَّر بأن المؤتمر الأول للأطراف المتعاقدة السامية في البروتوكول الخامس قررت تسمية سفير ليتوانيا، السيد إدوارداس بوريسوفاس، رئيساً للمؤتمر الثاني، كما ورد في الفقرة 44 من الوثيقة الختامية للمؤتمر الأول (CCW/P.V/CONF/2007/1).

In confirming its Rules of Procedure, as contained in annex II of the Final Document of the First Conference (CCW/P.V/2007/1) and given that the Sixth Conference in paragraph 42 of its final document had agreed to address the contradiction between Rule 12 of the Rules of Procedure and paragraph 3 of Article 10, it was agreed that Rule 12 would be suspended.

3. The PRESIDENT drew attention to the draft Final Document of the First Conference of the High Contracting Parties to Protocol V on Explosive Remnants of War (CCW/P.V/CONF/2007/CRP.3), to the document entitled " Draft decisions " (CCW/P.V/CONF/2007/CRP.1) and to the non-paper by the secretariat containing amendments and additions based on discussions held earlier in the day.
