This participation is carried out on a basis of equality in that the Danish Parliament has given seats in its Nordic Council delegation to two members of the Greenland Home Rule Parliament, and in that the members of the Greenland Home Rule Parliament attend the meetings of the Nordic Council of Ministers, which is the formal forum for intergovernmental cooperation between the five Nordic countries.

Let me add that the Prime Ministers of the five Nordic countries have today issued a joint statement expressing their utmost dismay at India’s nuclear tests.
