(b) Introducing legislation making reporting obligations mandatory for suspected cases of abuse and neglect for all professionals working for and with children, and training them in the identification, reporting and management of cases of illtreatment;

24. The Committee reiterates its recommendation to ensure systematic, mandatory and ongoing training on child rights for all professionals working with and for children, in particular law enforcement officers, prosecutors, judges, lawyers, teachers, health personnel and personnel working in all forms of alternative care.

(b) Carry out systematic education and training on the principles and provisions of the Convention for all professionals working with and for children, in particular teachers, judges, parliamentarians, law enforcement officials, civil servants, municipal workers, personnel working in institutions and places of detention for children, health personnel, including psychologists, and social workers.

(f) Training programmes for all professionals working in the criminal justice system should be a continuous occurrence in order to promote more aggressive action against child abusers and a more compassionate approach to child victims.

20. The Committee recommends that the State party takes prompt measures to include mandatory modules on human rights and the Convention in its school curriculum and training programmes for all professionals working with or for children, particularly in rural areas and in situations concerning asylum seekers, refugees and internally displaced persons.

25. The Committee recommends that the State party ensure systematic, mandatory and ongoing training on child rights for all professionals working with and for children, in particular social workers, law enforcement officials, health-care personnel, professionals and staff working in all forms of alternative care, and the media.
