At its 48th meeting, on 23 November, on the proposal of the Chairman, the Committee decided to recommend to the General Assembly that it adopt a decision relating to the rotation of the post of Rapporteur of the Committee for subsequent sessions of the General Assembly (see para. 6, draft decision II).
5 - قررت اللجنة، بناء على اقتراح من الرئيس، في جلستها 48، المعقودة في 23 تشرين الثاني/نوفمبر، أن توصي الجمعية العامة باتخاذ قرار يتعلق بالتناوب في منصب مقرر اللجنة في الدورات التالية للجمعية العامة (انظر الفقرة 6، مشروع المقرر الثاني).

The General Assembly decides that, in order to rationalize further its methods of work for subsequent sessions of the Assembly, the Second Committee should endeavour to elect its Rapporteur on the basis of his or her experience and personal competence and on the basis of rotation among the regional groups as follows: African States, Asian States, Eastern European States, Latin American and Caribbean States and Western European and Other States.
