104. In this connection, the Qatari Foundation for the Protection of Children and Women was established to protect and defend the rights of women and children. It is a private institution, which enjoys financial autonomy and full capacity to pursue its object.

174. The Qatar Foundation for the Protection of Children and Women employs a range of measures for promoting active learning and full integration, including in particular:

These efforts are carried out with the participation of State institutions, notably the Supreme Council for Family Affairs and the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs, and non-governmental organizations like the Qatar Foundation for the Protection of Children and Women and the National Human Rights Committee.

The Committee recommends that the State party continue to provide adequate financial, human and technical resources for the Qatari Foundation for the Protection of Children and Women in order to allow it to carry out its activities under the Optional Protocol and to ensure that these activities are in full compliance with the provisions of the Optional Protocol.
602- توصي اللجنة الدولة الطرف بمواصلة إمداد المؤسسة القطَرية لحماية الطفل والمرأة بالموارد المالية والبشرية والتقنية الوافية كي يتسنى لها الاضطلاع بأنشطتها بموجب البروتوكول الاختياري، وبضمان توافق هذه الأنشطة التام مع أحكام البروتوكول الاختياري.

115. The Qatari Foundation for the Protection of Children and Women plays a vital role in protecting children and mothers from deviant behaviour in the home, the community and the workplace, in guaranteeing the legal framework for the enjoyment of children's and women's rights and their protection within the community and the family, and in guaranteeing the implementation of the relevant provisions of international conventions.
115- وتلعب المؤسسة القطرية لحماية الطفل والمرأة دوراً حيوياً في توفير الحماية للطفل والمرأة من الممارسات المنحرفة في المنزل والمجتمع والعمل، بجانب تأمين الإطار القانوني لحقوق الطفل والمرأة، وحمايتها اجتماعياً وأسرياً، وضمان تطبيق ما تنص عليه الاتفاقيات الدولية في هذا المجال.

The country delegation commended the work of the country office, affirming that the country programme had been formulated on the basis of close cooperation with government agencies and other partners, and was fully in accordance with the government strategy for the Protection of Children and Women.
