422. The Committee recommends that the State party envisage undertaking a comprehensive reform of the Juvenile Offender Act in the spirit of the Convention, in particular articles 37, 39 and 40, and of other United Nations standards in this field, such as the Beijing Rules, the Riyadh Guidelines and the United Nations Rules for the Protection of Juveniles Deprived of Their Liberty.

Particular consideration was given to the United Nations Guidelines for the Prevention of Juvenile Delinquency, the United Nations Rules for the Protection of Juveniles Deprived of their Liberty and the United Nations Standard Minimum Rules for the Administration of Juvenile Justice.

The Committee recommends that the law reform to be undertaken in this field adequately reflect the provisions of the Convention as well as other relevant international standards, such as the Beijing Rules, the Riyadh Guidelines and the United National Rules for the Protection of Juveniles Deprived of their Liberty.

5. United Nations Rules for the Protection of Juveniles Deprived of their Liberty, adopted by the General Assembly in resolution 45/113 of 14 December 1990

The Committee recommends that the appropriate amendments be made to the Juveniles Act No. 31 of 1974 to adequately reflect the provisions of the Convention as well as other international standards in this field, such as the Beijing Rules, the Riyadh Guidelines and the United Nations Rules for the Protection of Juveniles Deprived of their Liberty.

48. The Committee is concerned about the compatibility of the juvenile justice system in the State party with articles 37, 40 and 39 of the Convention and with other relevant standards such as the Beijing Rules, the Riyadh Guidelines and the United Nations Rules for the Protection of Juveniles Deprived of their Liberty.

63. The Committee recommends that the State party envisage undertaking further measures to ensure the full compatibility of the juvenile justice system with the Convention, especially articles 37, 40 and 39, and other United Nations standards in this field such as the Beijing Rules, the Riyadh Guidelines and the United Nations Rules for the Protection of Juveniles Deprived of their Liberty.

83. The administration of juvenile justice, and in particular its compatibility with articles 37, 40, and 39 of the Convention and with other relevant standards such as the Beijing Rules, the Riyadh Guidelines and the United Nations Rules for the Protection of Juveniles Deprived of their Liberty, is a matter of concern to the Committee.

Juvenile offenders must be separated from adults and treated appropriately for their age and legal status, and pursuant to international standards, including the United Nations Rules for the Protection of Juveniles Deprived of their Liberty.

٣٣ - اعتمدت الجمعية العامة في قرارها ٥٤/٣١١ قواعد اﻷمم المتحدة لحماية اﻷحداث المجردين من حريتهم وتطالب بأقل استخدام ممكن للحرمان من الحرية لا سيما في السجن والمؤسسات المغلقة اﻷخرى .

2. The United Nations Guidelines for the Prevention of Juvenile Delinquency, the United Nations Standard Minimum Rules for the Administration of Juvenile Justice and the United Nations Rules for the Protection of Juveniles Deprived of their Liberty are applied, are provided for in current legislation and are thus widely known.
٢- وتطبﱠق في كوبا المبادئ التوجيهية لﻷمم المتحدة لمنع انحراف اﻷحداث، ومجموعة قواعد اﻷمم المتحدة الدنيا ﻹدارة شؤون قضاء اﻷحداث، وقواعد اﻷمم المتحدة بشأن حماية اﻷحداث المحرومين من حريتهم؛ وهذه اﻷحكام منصوص عليها في التشريعات السارية ومن ثم فهي معروفة على نطاق واسع لدى الجمهور.

173. The situation of the administration of juvenile justice and in particular its compatibility with articles 37 and 40 of the Convention, as well as other relevant standards such as the " Beijing Rules " , the " Riyadh Guidelines " and the United Nations Rules for the Protection of Juveniles Deprived of their Liberty, is a matter of concern to the Committee.

Monitoring should take place within the framework of the United Nations standards and norms in juvenile justice, in particular the United Nations Rules for the Protection of Juveniles Deprived of their Liberty.

468. Internal regulations for juvenile care and rehabilitation facilities were also drafted, incorporating key child rights principles and the United Nations Rules for the Protection of Juveniles Deprived of their Liberty.
