At national levels, ILO has initiated joint prevention programmes with employers' organizations or chambers of commerce, such as in Brazil, China, Jordan, Russia and Viet Nam and has supported global and national trade union federations in becoming actively involved in the prevention and identification of forced labour practices, including human trafficking.

The Committee is concerned at reports on forced labour practices amounting to slavery, debt bondage (enganche) and serfdom in such sectors as agriculture, stock-raising and forestry that particularly concern indigenous communities, and also at the situation of domestic workers living in conditions of domestic servitude.
