In that regard, in its resolution 57/250, the General Assembly decided that the biennial high-level dialogue, to be held at ministerial level, is to be the intergovernmental focal point for the general follow-up to the Conference.

7. By its resolution 57/250, the General Assembly decided to reconstitute its High-level Dialogue on Strengthening International Cooperation for Development through partnership as the High-level Dialogue on Financing for Development so that it would become the intergovernmental focal point for the general follow-up to the Monterrey Conference and related issues.

(c) The General Assembly should give more prominence to its annual agenda item on follow-up to the Monterrey Consensus and the Doha Declaration on Financing for Development and may wish to reaffirm the importance of its biennial high-level dialogues on financing for development as the intergovernmental focal point for the general follow-up to the 2002 International Conference on Financing for Development and the 2008 Review Conference.
