25. Prior to the processing pause, the approval rate of goods review list items by the Committee remained relatively low, at 11.8 per cent.

22. In accordance with resolution 1409 (2002), UNMOVIC experts had been reviewing and assessing contracts with Iraq under the oil-for-food programme against the criteria contained in the goods review list and its amendments.

(f) There are relatively few applications containing GRL items and more options are available to suppliers and the Iraqi buyers with respect to items assessed as dual-use in the goods review list.

The delegation of the United States of America proposed the adoption of another technical resolution extending the programme for 18 days in order to give Council members time to consider the proposed adjustments to the goods review list.

5. At the same time, there were 13 additional contracts with goods review list items where suppliers requested impact assessment, which request could not be met because of the departure of United Nations staff from Iraq in March 2003.
