Promoting inclusive access to the benefits of science, technology and innovation, particularly information technology, will ensure that Governments and all stakeholders have the means to deliver on their commitments towards poverty eradication and sustainable development.

It was highlighted that capacity-building efforts should strive to develop and strengthen the capacities within Governments and all stakeholders to improve the elaboration and facilitate the effective implementation of guidelines, codes of conduct, impact assessment studies and sustainable tourism policies at local, national, regional and international levels.

100. The Ministers encouraged all Governments and all stakeholders to be " biodiversity champions " , in response to the Hyderabad Call for Action on Biodiversity, by pledging support for biodiversity at the national, regional or global levels for one or more of the Aichi targets.

Also requests Governments and all stakeholders to incorporate, within their national strategies and action plans, measures to protect, preserve and maintain knowledge, innovations and practices of indigenous and local communities, with their participation, and to promote the equitable sharing of benefits arising out of the research, development and any utilization of such knowledge, innovations and practices;
