Recalling also that heads of State and Government at the United Nations Millennium Summit resolved to take measures, inter alia, to ensure respect for and protection of the human rights of migrants, migrant workers and their families, to eliminate the increasing acts of racism and xenophobia in many societies and to promote greater harmony and tolerance in all societies,
وإذ تشير أيضا إلى أن رؤساء الدول والحكومات في مؤتمر قمة الألفية صمموا على اتخاذ التدابير الرامية في جملة أمور إلى كفالة احترام وحماية حقوق الإنسان للمهاجرين والعمال المهاجرين وأسرهم والقضاء على الأعمال المتزايدة التي تنـم عن العنصرية وكراهية الأجانب في كثير من المجتمعات وتحقيق مزيد من التجانس والتسامح في جميع المجتمعات،

4. Welcomes the resolve expressed in the United Nations Millennium Declaration to take measures to eliminate the increasing acts of racism and xenophobia in many societies and to promote greater harmony and tolerance in all societies, and looks forward to its effective implementation at all levels;
4- ترحب بما عبَّر عنه إعلان الأمم المتحدة بشأن الألفية من تصميم على اتخاذ التدابير اللازمة للقضاء على أعمال العنصرية وكره الأجانب الآخذة في التزايد في كثير من المجتمعات، وعلى تعزيز زيادة الوئام والتسامح في كافة المجتمعات، وتتطلع إلى تحقيق ذلك بصورة فعالة على جميع الأصعدة؛

140. There is a need to formulate or strengthen measures at the national level to ensure respect for and protection of the human rights of migrants, migrant workers and their families, to eliminate the increasing acts of racism and xenophobia in sectors of many societies, and to promote greater harmony and tolerance in all societies.
٠٤١ - ويلزم وضع تدابير أو تعزيز القائم منها على الصعيد الوطني لكفالة احترام وحماية حقوق اﻹنسان الخاصة بالمهاجرين والعمال المهاجرين وأسرهم، وللقضاء على تزايد أعمال العنصرية وكره اﻷجانب في قطاعات من مجتمعات عديدة وتشجيع المزيد من الانسجام والتسامح في كل المجتمعات.

Measures should be taken to ensure respect for and protection of the human rights of migrants, migrant workers and their families, to eliminate the increasing acts of racism and xenophobia in many societies and to promote greater harmony and tolerance in all societies.
ويجب اتخاذ إجراءات لضمان احترام وحماية حقوق الإنسان الخاصة بالمهاجرين والعمال المهاجرين وعائلاتهم، وللقضاء على أعمال العنصرية وكراهية الأجانب المتزايدة في مجتمعات كثيرة وللتشجيع على مزيد من التسامح والتآلف في جميع المجتمعات.

Bearing in mind that the Millennium Declaration expresses a renewed commitment to take measures to ensure respect for and protection of the human rights of migrants, migrant workers and their families; to eliminate the increasing acts of racism and xenophobia in many societies; and to promote greater harmony and tolerance in all societies;
وإذ نأخذ في الاعتبار تجديد الالتزام في الإعلان بشأن الألفية باتخاذ تدابير لكفالة احترام وحماية حقوق الإنسان للمهاجرين والعمال المهاجرين وأسرهم، والقضاء على الأعمال العنصرية وكراهية الأجانب المتزايدة في مجتمعات كثيرة، والتشجيع على المزيد من الوئام والتسامح في جميع المجتمعات؛

59. At the Millennium Summit, world leaders had undertaken to adopt measures to ensure respect and protection for the human rights of migrants, migrant workers and their families, by suppressing acts of racism and xenophobia that were on the increase in many countries, and promoting harmony and tolerance in all societies.
59 - وقد اتفق قادة العالم، في مؤتمر قمة الألفية، على اتخاذ تدابير لضمان وحماية حقوق الإنسان للمهاجرين والعمال المهاجرين وأفراد أُسرهم، ولوقف تزايد التصرفات العنصرية وكراهية الأجانب في كثير من المجتمعات، والنهوض بمزيد من الوئام والتسامح في جميع المجتمعات.

Specifically, the Declaration states that, " We resolve therefore...To take measures to ensure respect for and protection of the human rights of migrants, migrant workers and their families, to eliminate the increasing acts of racism and xenophobia in many societies and to promote greater harmony and tolerance in all societies. "

Last year, the leaders of our Member States resolved, in their Millennium Declaration, " to take measures to ensure respect for and protection of the human rights of migrants, migrant workers and their families, to eliminate the increasing acts of racism and xenophobia in many societies, and to promote greater harmony and tolerance in all societies " .

٠٤١ - ويلزم وضع تدابير أو تعزيز القائم منها على الصعيد الوطني لكفالة احترام وحماية حقوق اﻹنسان الخاصة بالمهاجرين والعمال المهاجرين وأسرهم، وللقضاء على تزايد أعمال العنصرية وكره اﻷجانب في قطاعات من مجتمعات عديدة وتشجيع المزيد من الانسجام والتسامح في كل المجتمعات.
