While the Chief Inspector was trying to get in touch with Brigadier Hossam Amin over the telephone, the UNSCOM 150 ground element positioned around site 8 observed that Iraqi soldiers were manning an anti-aircraft gun position close to the site and in the helicopter flight path.
وبينما كان كبير المفتشين يحاول الاتصال بالعميد حسام أمين هاتفيا، لاحظ العنصر اﻷرضي للفريق ١٥٠ التابع للجنة الخاصة والمتمركز حول الموقع ٨ أن الجنود العراقيين يحتلون موقعا لمدفع مضاد للطائرات بالقرب من الموقع يقع في مسار طيران الطائرة " الهليكوبتر " .
