5. Also at its first plenary meeting, the Conference appointed Mr. Peter Kolarov, Head of Section " Humanitarian Conventions " , United Nations Office for Disarmament Affairs, Geneva Branch, as Secretary-General of the Conference.

Another example was Portugal which organized a seminar on the Humanitarian Conventions for Portuguese speaking countries during June 2010 in Lisbon.

11. The President, referring to rule 10 of the rules of procedure, said that, in accordance with existing practice, the Secretary-General of the United Nations had nominated Mr. Peter Kolarov, Chief of the Humanitarian Conventions Section of the Geneva Branch of the Office for Disarmament Affairs, to serve as Secretary-General of the Conference.
11- الرئيس قال مشيراً إلى المادة 10 من النظام الداخلي إن الأمين العام للأمم المتحدة عيَّن، وفقاً للممارسة القائمة، السيد بيتر كورالوف، رئيس قسم " الاتفاقيات الإنسانية " بفرع جنيف لإدارة شؤون نزع السلاح، أميناً عاماً للمؤتمر.

18. At the same plenary meeting, the Meeting of the High Contracting Parties confirmed the nomination of Mr. Peter Kolarov, Head of section " Humanitarian Conventions " , United Nations Office for Disarmament Affairs, Geneva Branch, as Secretary-General of the Meeting, who was assisted by Mr. Bantan Nugroho, Political Affairs Officer, as Secretary of the Meeting.
18- وفي الجلسة نفسها، أكد اجتماع الأطراف المتعاقدة السامية تعيين السيد بيتر كولاروف، رئيس قسم " الاتفاقيات الإنسانية " ، مكتب الأمم المتحدة لشؤون نزع السلاح، فرع جنيف، أميناً عاماً للاجتماع، وساعده في ذلك السيد بانتان نوغروهو، موظف الشؤون السياسية، بصفة أمين للاجتماع.

As an example in relation to this, we could mention the procedure of reporting on security and defence policy, which presents e.g. military threats, grounds for the development of the defence system as well as supporting society and the effects of international (humanitarian) conventions on military doctrine (e.g. the Ottawa Convention).
10- كمثال على ذلك، يمكننا أن نذكر إجراء الإبلاغ عن سياسة الأمن والدفاع التي تفرض مثلاً التهديدات العسكرية، ودواعي تطوير نظام دفاعي، ودعم المجتمع وآثار الاتفاقيات (الإنسانية) الدولية بشأن المذهب العسكري (مثل اتفاقية أوتاوا).

15. The Chairperson, referring to rule 14 of the rules of procedure, said that the Secretary-General of the United Nations had nominated Mr. Peter Kolarov, Chief of the Humanitarian Conventions Section of the Geneva Branch of the Office for Disarmament Affairs, to serve as Secretary-General of the Meeting.
تأكيد تسمية أمين عام الاجتماع (البند 4 من جدول الأعمال) 15- الرئيس، قال مشيراً إلى المادة 14 من النظام الداخلي، إن الأمين العام للأمم المتحدة عين السيد بيتر كولاروف، رئيس قسم الاتفاقيات الإنسانية بإدارة نزع السلاح، فرع جنيف، أميناً عاماً للاجتماع.

Equally important are legislations such as the Criminal Code of the State that have provisions ascertaining the application of international rules in courts by using phrases such as " international agreements " , " public international law " , " international custom " , and " international Humanitarian Conventions " .
