We believe that the Council can play a crucial role in the improvement of the situation of human rights worldwide.
ونعتقد أنه يمكن للمجلس أن يقوم بدور أساسي في تحسين حالة حقوق الإنسان في جميع أرجاء العالم.

Its main course of action includes provision of practical knowledge on human rights, raising awareness, training and mobilization for the improvement of the situation of human rights, as well as assistance and protection to persons belonging to vulnerable social groups, including trafficking victims.
ويشمل مجال عملها الرئيسي تقديم المعارف العملية المتعلقة بحقوق الإنسان والتوعية والتدريب والتعبئة من أجل تحسين حالة حقوق الإنسان إضافة إلى تقديم المساعدة والحماية للأشخاص الذين ينتمون للفئات الاجتماعية الضعيفة بمن فيهم ضحايا الاتجار بالبشر.

By visiting the country several times and by elaborating specific recommendations related to their respective mandates, which are still relevant and applicable to the human rights situation in the country, they have made their maximum contribution to the improvement of the situation of human rights in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
وقد أسهم الخبراء إلى أقصى حد في تحسين حالة حقوق الإنسان في جمهورية الكونغو الديمقراطية من خلال زيارة البلد مرات عدّة وصياغة توصيات محددة تتعلق بولاية كل منهم على التوالي، وهي توصيات لا تزال ذات صلة بحالة حقوق الإنسان في البلاد وتنطبق عليها.

77. The Special Rapporteur notes with regret that he cannot report on any improvement of the situation of human rights in the Sudan between January 1995 and the date of the present report.
٧٧ - ويلاحظ المقرر الخاص مع اﻷسف أنه لا يستطيع أن يشير الى أي تحسن في حالة حقوق اﻹنسان في السودان خلال الفترة من كانون الثاني/يناير ١٩٩٥ وحتى موعد إعداد هذا التقرير.

2. Expresses its appreciation to the independent expert for his work and the recommendations he has made relating to the improvement of the situation of human rights in the Sudan;
2- يعرب عن تقديره للخبير المستقل لعمله وللتوصيات التي قدمها فيما يتعلق بتحسين حالة حقوق الإنسان في السودان؛

By visiting the country several times and by elaborating specific recommendations related to their respective mandates, which are still relevant and applicable to the human rights situation in the country, they have made their maximum contribution to the improvement of the situation of human rights in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
وقد أسهم الخبراء إلى أقصى حد في تحسين حالة حقوق الإنسان في جمهورية الكونغو الديمقراطية من خلال زيارة البلد مرات عدة وصياغة توصيات محددة تتعلق بولاية كل منهم، وهي توصيات لا تزال ذات صلة ومنطبقة على حالة حقوق الإنسان في البلاد.

(l) The organization of the National Human Rights Conference, held in June 2001, while expressing the hope that its results will lead to an improvement of the situation of human rights in the Democratic Republic of the Congo;
(ل) تنظيم المؤتمر الوطني المعني بحقوق الإنسان في حزيران/يونيه 2001، والأمل في أن تسفر نتائجه عن تحسين حالة حقوق الإنسان في جمهورية الكونغو الديمقراطية؛

22. Decides to extend by two years the mandate of the Special Rapporteur on the situation of human rights in Cambodia, and requests the Special Rapporteur to report on the implementation of his mandate to the Council at its twenty-seventh and thirtieth sessions and to engage in a constructive manner with the Government of Cambodia for the further improvement of the situation of human rights in the country;
22- يقرر تمديد ولاية المقرر الخاص المعني بحالة حقوق الإنسان في كمبوديا لفترة سنتين، ويطلب إلى المقرر الخاص أن يقدم تقريراً عن تنفيذ ولايته إلى المجلس في دورتيه السابعة والعشرين والثلاثين، وأن يتعاون تعاوناً بنَّاءً مع حكومة كمبوديا من أجل زيادة تحسين حالة حقوق الإنسان في هذا البلد؛

8. Takes note of the need to continue close consultations between the Government of Cambodia and the Special Rapporteur on the situation of human rights in Cambodia towards the further improvement of the situation of human rights in the country and for the continued technical cooperation between the Office of the High Commissioner and the Government of Cambodia;
8- يحيط علماً بالحاجة إلى مواصلة إجراء مشاورات وثيقة بين حكومة كمبوديا والمقرر الخاص المعني بحالة حقوق الإنسان في كمبوديا من أجل المضي في تحسين حالة حقوق الإنسان في هذا البلد ومواصلة التعاون التقني بين مفوضية الأمم المتحدة السامية لحقوق الإنسان وحكومة كمبوديا؛

9. Decides to extend by two years the mandate of the special procedure on the situation of human rights in Cambodia, and requests the Special Rapporteur to report on the implementation of his mandate to the Council at its twenty-first and twenty-fourth sessions, and to engage in a constructive manner with the Government of Cambodia for the further improvement of the situation of human rights in the country;
9- يقرر تمديد ولاية الإجراء الخاص المتعلق بحالة حقوق الإنسان في كمبوديا لفترة سنتين، ويطلب إلى المقرر الخاص أن يقدم تقريراً عن تنفيذ ولايته إلى المجلس في دورتيه الحادية والعشرين والرابعة والعشرين، وأن يتعاون على نحو بنَّاء مع حكومة كمبوديا من أجل زيادة تحسين حالة حقوق الإنسان في هذا البلد؛

I was appointed by the Council on 25 March 2009 as the new Special Rapporteur to engage in a constructive manner with the Government of Cambodia for the further improvement of the situation of human rights in the country and to report on the implementation of my mandate to the Council at its twelfth session. I undertook my first mission to Cambodia from 16 to 26 June 2009.
وقد تم تعييني من قبل المجلس في 25 آذار/مارس 2009 في منصب المقرر الخاص الجديد للتعامل بطريقة بناءة مع حكومة كمبوديا بهدف المضي قدماً في تحسين حالة حقوق الإنسان في البلاد وتقديم تقرير عن تنفيذ ولايتي إلى المجلس في دورته الثانية عشرة، وقمت بأول بعثة لي في كمبوديا بين 16 و26 حزيران/يونيه 2009.

8. Takes note of the need to continue close consultations between the Government of Cambodia and the Special Rapporteur on the situation of human rights in Cambodia towards the further improvement of the situation of human rights in the country and of the continuous technical cooperation of the Office of the High Commissioner with the Government of Cambodia;
8 - يحيط علماً بالحاجة إلى مواصلة إجراء مشاورات وثيقة بين حكومة كمبوديا والمقرر الخاص المعني بحالة حقوق الإنسان في كمبوديا من أجل المضي في تحسين حالة حقوق الإنسان في هذا البلد وتحسين التعاون التقني المستمر لمفوضية الأمم المتحدة السامية لحقوق الإنسان مع حكومة كمبوديا؛

9. 9 - يقرر تمديد ولاية الإجراء الخاص المتعلق بحالة حقوق الإنسان في كمبوديا لفترة سنة واحدة، ويطلب إلى المقرر الخاص أن يقدم تقريراً عن تنفيذ ولايته إلى المجلس في دورته الثامنة عشرة وأن يتعاون على نحو بنّاء مع حكومة كمبوديا من أجل زيادة تحسين حالة حقوق الإنسان في هذا البلد؛

91. The Special Rapporteur notes with regret that he cannot report any improvement of the situation of human rights in the Sudan between January 1995 and the date of the present report.
١٩- ويلاحظ المقرر الخاص مع اﻷسف أنه لا يستطيع أن يشير الى أي تحسن في حالة حقوق اﻹنسان في السودان خلال الفترة من كانون الثاني/يناير ١٩٩٥ وحتى إعداد هذا التقرير.

The Special Rapporteur is very disappointed that he cannot report any improvement of the situation of human rights in the Sudan; on the contrary, all the facts demonstrate that in specific zones of southern Sudan, such as Bahr Al-Ghazal or certain areas in Western and Eastern Equatoria, the situation has deteriorated owing to intensified and regular bombardment of civilian targets by the Government of Sudan.
٠٦- ويشعر المقرر الخاص بخيبة أمل كبيرة لعدم قدرته على الابلاغ عن أي تحسن في حالة حقوق اﻹنسان في السودان؛ بل على العكس من ذلك فإن جميع الوقائع تشهد بأن الحالة قد تدهورت في مناطق محددة في الجنوب السوداني، مثل بحر الغزال أو في بعض المناطق في غرب الاستوائية وشرق الاستوائية بسبب قصف الحكومة المكثف والمنظم لﻷهداف المدنية.

2. Expresses its appreciation to the independent expert for his work and the recommendations he has made relating to the improvement of the situation of human rights in the Sudan;
