The Committee took note of the report submitted by H.E. Mr. Teferra Shiawl-Kidanekal, Director of the United Nations Subregional Centre for Human Rights and Democracy in Central Africa, on the activities of the institution.

We would also like to mention that members of the Advisory Committee, in a lead up to the 19th ministerial meeting, held a seminar on the implementation of the Programme of Action in Central Africa on 12 to 14 May 2003 in Brazzaville, which resulted in the adoption of a priority programme of action for Central Africa.
