in its report on its forty-eighth session, the Scientific and Technical Subcommittee of the Committee on the Peaceful Uses of Outer Space recommended that the Secretariat continue to invite Member States to submit annual reports on their space activities (A/AC.105/987, paragraph 27).

The Assembly, in its resolution 66/8, endorsed the conclusions and recommendations of the Committee contained in its report on its fifty-first session, including its recommendation that the Assembly urge the Unit to intensify its efforts to introduce reports that are relevant to the function of the Committee (A/66/16, para. 8).
