One outcome of the seminars was the recommendation that experts on specific aspects of the Convention should participate in the Conference of the States Parties, in particular representatives of independent anti-corruption bodies, where such bodies existed.

9. Encourage further Anti-Corruption Authorities to participate actively in the Conference of the States Parties, especially by making sure that there will be substantive discussion and concrete outcomes from the side event designed for anti-corruption authorities at the Conference;
9- يشجّعون كذلك سلطات مكافحة الفساد على المشاركة بنشاط في مؤتمر الدول الأطراف، وذلك خصوصا بالعمل على أن يتضمّن الحَدَث الخاص بسلطات مكافحة الفساد الذي سيُنظِّم على هامش المؤتمر مناقشات جوهرية وأن يُثمِر نتائج ملموسة؛

The Islamic Republic of Iran, which, since ratifying the Convention at the end of 1997, has played a particularly active and valuable role in the Conference of the States Parties and, more recently, has also done so as a member of the Executive Council and as a facilitator for the resolution of critical issues left over from the Preparatory Commission, is among this group.
وتقع جمهورية إيران اﻹسلامية ضمن هذه المجموعة، وهي الدولة التي اضطلعت، منذ تصديقها على الاتفاقية في نهاية عام ١٩٩٧، بدور فعال وقيم للغاية في مؤتمر الدول اﻷطراف، كما فعلت ذلك مؤخرا أيضا بوصفها عضوا في المجلس التنفيذي، وطرفا تيسيريا لحل المسائل الهامة التي خلقتها اللجنة التحضيرية.

6. A crucial aspect for achieving full implementation of the Convention is to ensure the widest possible participation of developed and developing countries from all regions in the Conference of the States Parties.
6- وإن ضمان أوسع نطاق ممكن لمشاركة البلدان المتقدّمة النمو والبلدان النامية من جميع المناطق في مؤتمر الدول الأطراف هو أحد الجوانب الحاسمة لبلوغ التنفيذ الكامل للاتفاقية.

19. Call upon development agencies to participate in the Conference of the States Parties to the Convention at the highest possible level and to engage in active dialogue between them and with UNODC with a view to ensuring that the Convention is fully integrated in their work and forms the basis for their capacity building efforts, especially in the area of governance;
