" 2. Calls upon Israel, the occupying Power, to scrupulously abide by its obligations and responsibilities under the Geneva Convention relative to the Protection of Civilian Persons in Time of War, of 12 August 1949;

The Geneva Convention relative to the Protection of Civilian Persons in Time of War of 12 August 1949 prohibits the occupying Power from transferring parts of its own civilian population to the territory it occupies.

They also constitute grave violations of international law and international humanitarian law, particularly the Fourth Geneva Convention relative to the Protection of Civilian Persons in Time of War of 1949.

The Secretary-General further recalls that in the same resolution, the Security Council demanded that Israel, the occupying Power, should rescind forthwith its decision, and determined that all the provisions of the Geneva Convention relative to the Protection of Civilian Persons in Time of War, of 12 August 1949, " continue to apply to the Syrian territory occupied by Israel since June 1967 " .

All those Israeli practices were in blatant violation of the Geneva Convention relative to the Protection of Civilian Persons in Time of War, of 12 August 1949, which applied to all the occupied Palestinian territories, including Jerusalem.
