Noting the statement by the President of the forty-first regular session of the General Conference of the Agency, issued under item 26 concerning the application of International Atomic Energy Agency safeguards in the Middle East, that:
وإذ تحيط علما بالبيان الذي أدلى به رئيس الدورة العادية الحادية واﻷربعين للمؤتمر العام للوكالة، الصادر في إطار البند ٢٦ المتعلق بتطبيق ضمانات الوكالة الدولية للطاقة الذرية في الشرق اﻷوسط، والذي جاء فيه أنه:

9. Requests the Director General to submit to the Board of Governors and to the General Conference at its forty-first regular session a report on the implementation of the present resolution and to include in the provisional agenda for that session an item entitled " Application of International Atomic Energy Agency safeguards in the Middle East " .
٩ - يطلب الى المدير العام أن يقدم الى مجلس المحافظين والى المؤتمر العام في دورته العادية الحادية واﻷربعين تقريرا عن تنفيذ هذا القرار، وأن يدرج في جدول اﻷعمال المؤقت للدورة المذكورة بندا عنوانه " تطبيق ضمانات الوكالة الدولية للطاقة الذرية في الشرق اﻷوسط " .

" In the context of the agenda item on the application of International Atomic Energy Agency safeguards in the Middle East, the General Conference requests the Director General to invite experts from the Middle East and other areas to a technical workshop on safeguards, verification technologies and other related experience, including experience in various regional contexts.

Our country supported the adoption without a vote of resolution 63/38 in the First Committee of the General Assembly and the adoption as drafted of the resolution entitled " Application of International Atomic Energy Agency safeguards in the Middle East " (GOV/2008/29-GC (52)/10), at the 52nd session of the General Conference of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), held in Vienna in September 2008.
وقد أيد بلدنا اتخاذ القرار 63/38 بدون تصويت في اللجنة الأولى التابعة للجمعية العامة للأمم المتحدة، واعتماد نص القرار المعنون " تطبيق ضمانات الوكالة الدولية للطاقة الذرية في الشرق الأوسط " (Doc GOV/2008/29-GC (52)/10) في إطار الدورة الثانية والخمسين للمؤتمر العام للوكالة الدولية للطاقة الذرية، الذي عقد في فيينا خلال أيلول/سبتمبر 2008.
