18. Mr. Kadiri (Morocco) said that the United Nations, through its summits, major conferences and special sessions, and the human rights instruments adopted under its aegis, had inspired respect for the human person and aided the struggle against any attack on human dignity and the right to a decent life.

26. After discussion of the recommendations in the report of the Secretary-General (E/CN.17/1995/3) the Inter-sessional Ad Hoc Working Group on Sectoral Issues recommended that the Commission establish under its aegis an open-ended intergovernmental panel on forests, which should work in an open, transparent and participatory manner, so as to permit the involvement of all stakeholders.
٢٦ - وبعد مناقشة التوصيات الواردة في تقرير اﻷمين العام )E/CN.17/1995/3(، أوصى الفريق العامل المخصص الذي ينعقد بين الدورات والمعني بالمواضيع القطاعية بضرورة أن تنشئ اللجنة تحت رعايتها فريقا حكوميا دوليا مفتوح العضوية معنيا بالغابات، ينبغي أن يعمل بطريقة مفتوحة وشفافة وتقوم على المشاركة بحيث تسمح بمشاركة جميع اﻷطراف المؤثرة في العملية.
