By decision 2001/288, the Council endorsed the decision of the Commission on Human Rights in its decision 2001/119 to renew its appeal to the General Assembly that additional resources be allocated to the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights in order to ensure that the Office receives the necessary financial, material and personnel resources commensurate with its increasing tasks.

(b) To instruct the expert group, inter alia, to identify any measures necessary to strengthen the core activities of the Programme, taking into account the work of the task force on reform of the United Nations established by the Secretary-General and the ability of the United Nations system to perform its increasing tasks in the light of existing mandates;

The Economic and Social Council, taking note of Commission on Human Rights decision 2001/119 of 27 April 2001, endorses the Commission's decision to renew its appeal to United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights in order to ensure that the Office receives the necessary financial, material and personnel resources commensurate with its increasing tasks.
إن المجلس الاقتصادي والاجتماعي، وقد أحاط علما بمقرر لجنة حقوق الإنسان 2001/119 المؤرخ 27نيسان/أبريل 2001، يؤيد مقرر اللجنة أن تجدد مناشدتها للمجلس والجمعية العامة تخصيص موارد إضافية لمفوضية الأمم المتحدة السامية لحقوق الإنسان، لضمان توفير جميع الموارد المالية والمادية والبشرية اللازمة للمفوضية السامية بما يتناسب مع مهامها المتزايدة.
