The Division will continue to contribute to the follow-up to the World Conference against Racism, Racial Discrimination, Xenophobia and Related Intolerance, such as by seeking to ensure that the Committee on the Elimination of Discrimination against Women takes into account the recommendations of the Conference during its review of reports of States parties.
21 - وستستمر الشعبة في الإسهام في متابعة المؤتمر العالمي لمكافحة العنصرية والتمييز العنصري وكراهية الأجانب وما يتصل بذلك من تعصب، بوسائل تشمل العمل على ضمان مراعاة اللجنة المعنية للقضاء على التمييز ضد المرأة لتوصيات المؤتمر خلال استعراضها لتقارير الدول الأطراف.

417. The Committee decided to revise its report on the implementation of the Beijing Platform for Action based on its review of reports of States parties (see General Assembly resolution 52/231, para. 12) and to incorporate relevant discussion at the twentieth session of the Committee.

15. In its review of reports of States parties the Committee has consistently stressed the value of temporary special measures aimed at accelerating de facto equality between women and men as envisaged by article 4 (1), both in general terms and with regard to particular contexts.
