349. The Juvenile Welfare Act was also promulgated in 1983. It is a law which covers all matters relating to children and juveniles insofar as it provides definitions for a juvenile, an offender and a homeless person. Chapter II also provides for a juvenile police force and stipulates that every police station must have a section competent to perform the duties stipulated in the Act.
