١٢ - يطلب إلى قيادة القوة المتعددة الجنسيات أن تقدم تقارير دورية إلى مجلس اﻷمن، عن طريق اﻷمين العام، بشأن التقدم المحرز في تنفيذ ولايتها، على أن يقدم التقرير اﻷول في غضون ١٤ يوما من اتخاذ هذا القرار؛

Notes that Article 6 of the Agreement of 5 May 1999 states that the Governments of Indonesia and Portugal and the Secretary-General shall agree on arrangements for a peaceful and orderly transfer of authority in East Timor to the United Nations, and requests the leadership of the multinational force to cooperate closely with the United Nations to assist and support those arrangements;
٨ - يلاحظ أن المادة ٦ من اتفاق ٥ أيار/ مايو ١٩٩٩ تقتضي أن تتفق حكومتا إندونيسيا والبرتغال واﻷمين العام على ترتيبات لنقل السلطة سلميا وبطريقة منظمة في تيمور الشرقية إلى اﻷمم المتحدة، ويطلب إلى قيادة القوة المتعددة الجنسيات أن تتعاون مع اﻷمم المتحدة تعاونا وثيقا للمساعدة في تلك الترتيبات ودعمها؛

٦ - يرحب بعروض الدول اﻷعضاء الرامية إلى تنظيم القوة المتعددة الجنسيات في تيمور الشرقية وقيادتها والمساهمة فيها، ويطلب من الدول اﻷعضاء تقديم المزيد من المساهمات من اﻷفراد والمعدات والموارد اﻷخرى، ويدعو الدول اﻷعضاء التي هي في وضع يمكنها من تقديم المساهمات أن تبلغ قيادة القوة المتعددة الجنسيات واﻷمين العام بذلك؛
