At the meeting, the Council adopted a presidential statement on the Central African region (S/PRST/2014/8), expressing concern at the deterioration of stability in parts of Central Africa, particularly in the Central African Republic, as well as maritime insecurity in the Gulf of Guinea, and called upon all stakeholders to increase cooperation to tackle the threat of LRA and other armed groups.
