Mr. NYE (United Kingdom), responding to a question regarding the possibility of prosecution of police officers for the tragic death of Jean Charles de Menezes in 2005 following consideration of the issue by the Independent Police Complaints Commission and the prosecution of the Metropolitan Police under health and safety laws, said that the possibility could not be ruled out if further evidence came to light in the future.
