Each Party shall not allow, by taking appropriate measures, the use of mercury or mercury compounds in the manufacturing processes listed in Part I of Annex B after the phase-out date specified in that Annex for the individual processes, except where the Party has a registered exemption pursuant to Article 6.

1. Each Party shall not allow the use of mercury or mercury compounds in the manufacturing processes listed in Annex D except in accordance with an [acceptable-use orallowable-use exemption listed in that annex for which the Party is registered as provided in Article 8.

2. Each Party shall not allow the use of mercury or mercury compounds in the manufacturing processes listed in Annex D after the phase-out date specified in that Annex for the individual processes, except where the Party has a registered exemption pursuant to Article 8.

1. Each Party shall permit the use of elemental mercury or mercury compounds in the manufacturing processes listed in Annex D to this Convention for which a transition period is needed only in order to allow countries, particularly developing countries and countries with economies in transition, to phase out such processes based on their social and economic circumstances.
1 - لا يجوز أن يسمح كل طرف باستخدام الزئبق الأولي أو مركَبات الزئبق في عمليات التصنيع المدرجة في المرفق دال لهذه الاتفاقية التي تلزم لها فترة تحول إلاّ لتمكين البلدان، لا سيما البلدان النامية والبلدان التي تمر اقتصاداتها بمرحلة انتقال، من الإنهاء التدريجي لهذه العمليات استناداً إلى ظروفها الاجتماعية والاقتصادية.
