66. Mr. Russell (New Zealand) said that his country was a strong supporter of efforts to remove explosive remnants of war, mines and cluster munitions. It was a party to the Ottawa Convention, the Convention on Cluster Munitions, Protocol V on Explosive Remnants of War of the Convention on Certain Conventional Weapons, and the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, and called for universal adherence to those treaties.
