:: The convening of an extraordinary session of the Council of Arab Ministers of Information to adopt the updated plan and determine commitments to financing and implementation.
عقد اجتماع استثنائي لمجلس وزراء الإعلام العرب لإقرار الخطة المحدثة وتحديد الالتزامات الخاصة بالتمويل والتنفيذ.

At the Conference, the Ministers of Information of the Non-Aligned Movement adopted two important documents that constitute a valuable contribution to the promotion and protection of human rights, in particular the right to freedom of opinion and expression, as well as the right to be properly informed.
وفي المؤتمر اعتمد وزراء إعلام حركة عدم الانحياز وثيقتين هامتين تشكلان مساهمة قيمة في تعزيز وحماية حقوق الإنسان، لا سيما الحق في حرية الرأي والتعبير، وكذا الحق في الاطلاع بشكل مناسب.

UNFPA provided technical support for the development of the African Union's draft advocacy and communication strategy, which is scheduled to be reviewed by Africa's Ministers of Information in 2008.

They request the Arab Ministerial Council on Tourism and the Council of Arab Ministers of Information, acting in coordination with each other, to undertake joint campaigns to project the cultural and human image of Arabs and Muslims and to stimulate and develop tourist travel to the Arab region.
وتكليف مجلس وزراء السياحة ومجلس وزراء الإعلام العرب التنسيق فيما بينهم للقيام بحملات مشتركة لإبراز الصورة الحضارية والإنسانية للعرب والمسلمين وتنشيط وتطوير حركة السياحة إلى المنطقة العربية.

448. To help expedite application of the updated plan approved by the Council of Arab Ministers of Information, the Secretariat-General prepared the requested paper, including details of projects, stages of implementation and costs.
وإسهاماً في التعجيل بتطبيق الخطة المحدثة التي أقرها مجلس وزراء الإعلام العربي، قامت الأمانة العامة بإعداد الورقة التي طُلبت منها، متضمنة تفاصيل المشروعات ومراحل تنفيذها وتكلفتها المالية.

In response, the Council of Arab Ministers of Information adopted resolution 244 (8 June 2005), which, in summary, stipulated:

To approve the allocation of the necessary appropriations for the implementation of the information programme indicated in the resolution adopted by the Council of Arab Ministers of Information at its emergency session held on 15 August 2001.
الموافقة على توفير الاعتمادات اللازمة لتنفيذ الخطة الإعلامية الواردة في قرار مجلس وزراء الإعلام العرب في دورته الطارئة بتاريخ 15/8/2001.

The Ministers of Information of nearly 30 non-aligned countries, at a conference held in Abuja, Nigeria from 3 to 6 September 1996, had called for the revival of the concept of this new world order.
وكان وزراء الإعلام من نحو 30 من بلدان عدم الانحياز قد دعوا، في مؤتمر عقد في أبوجا بنيجيريا، في الفترة من 3 إلى 6 أيلول/سبتمبر 1996، إلى إحياء مفهوم هذا النظام العالمي الجديد.

2. To request the Councils of Arab Ministers of Information and Communications to follow up implementation of the projects and programmes of this 10-year plan and inform the Council of the League of Arab States at the ministerial level of what is being done in this regard.

22. In implementation of a resolution of the Council of Arab Ministers of Information, the Secretariat-General requested the Ministries of Information of Member States and interested federations and bodies to prepare their visions for a mechanism for applying these principles.
22 - وتنفيذا لقرار من مجلس وزراء الإعلام العرب، طلبت الأمانة العامة من وزارات الإعلام في الدول الأعضاء، وكذلك من الاتحادات والهيئات المعنية، إعداد آرائها حول آلية تطبيق هذه المبادئ.

The Council reviewed the progress made in the area of media cooperation among GCC countries and gave instructions for the adoption of the mechanisms proposed by the Ministers of Information for the implementation of the Advisory Board's opinions on information issues, which had been approved by the Supreme Council at its twenty-second session in Muscat.
وفيما يتعلق بالتعاون الإعلامي، استعرض المجلس الأعلى مسيرة التعاون الإعلامي بين دول المجلس، ووجه بتبني الآليات المقترحة من وزراء الإعلام لتنفيذ مرئيات الهيئة الاستشارية حول قضايا الإعلام التي أقرها المجلس الأعلى في دورته الثانية والعشرين في مسقط.

To charge Arab Ministers of Information with concentrating on the risks of Judaization threatening Jerusalem and to invite the Arab media to devote attention to the situation in Jerusalem, expose Israeli measures in the city and support ways of maintaining its Arab identity;

Having studied the memorandum of the Secretariat-General, the report of the Secretary-General on joint Arab action and the Damascus communiqué issued by the joint meeting of the Councils of Arab Ministers of Information and Communications on 17 November 2008 on the integration of information and communications for Arab human development,
وعلى بيان دمشق الصادر عن الاجتماع المشترك لمجلسي وزراء الإعلام والاتصالات والمعلومات العرب بتاريخ 17/11/2008، بشأن " التكامل بين الإعلام والاتصالات من أجل التنمية الإنسانية العربية " ،

The Ministers of Information of the Non-Aligned Countries had also confirmed the principles of independence, progress, democracy and cooperation as the basis for the new information and communication order.
وقد أكد وزراء إعلام بلدان عدم الانحياز أيضا مبادئ الاستقلال والتقدم والديمقراطية والتعاون باعتبارها اﻷساس الذي يقوم عليه النظام الجديد لﻹعلام والاتصال.

The Ministers of Information of the Non-Aligned Countries convened their Sixth Conference in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, from 19 to 22 November 2005 on the theme " Advancing Information And Communication Collaboration Towards A More Dynamic NAM. "
