The fact that the legal implications of nuclear weapons had yet to be addressed had prompted the Non-Aligned Countries to submit draft resolution A/C.1/48/L.25.

This understanding prompted the Non-Aligned Countries to introduce a resolution to the United Nations General Assembly calling on the Conference on Disarmament to engage in negotiations on nuclear disarmament.

وحثـوا وسائط اﻹعلام في بلدان عدم الانحياز على نشر المعلومات المتعلقة بأنشطة ووظائف الحركة بغية تشجيع الجهود والتعاون بين بلدان عدم الانحياز وغيرها من البلدان النامية من أجل التعاون بين الجنوب والجنوب على أساس مبدأ الاعتماد الجماعي على الذات.

The sponsors of the draft resolution refrained from negotiations on our amendment until 8 December 1994, when they approached the Chairman of the Movement of Non-Aligned Countries to work on a compromise language.
