Such a solution would strengthen peace and increase stability for all peoples of the region.
ويبقى إنهاء معاناة الشعب الفلسطيني، مرتبطا بإيجاد حل جذري ونهائي للأزمة، من خلال استعادة الشعب الفلسطيني لحقوقه المشروعة وإقامة دولتة المستقلة على ترابه الوطني، واسترجاع الأراضي العربية المحتلة بما يعزز مقومات الأمن والاستقرار لكافة شعوب المنطقة.

In order to achieve just and comprehensive peace, Israel must be made to withdraw from all occupied Arab territory to the line of 4 June 1967 and the Palestinian State, with Jerusalem as its capital, must be established.
فإن تحقيق السلام العادل والشامل يستوجب إلزام إسرائيل بالانسحاب من جميع الأراضي العربية المحتلة إلى خط الرابع من حزيران/يونيه1967 وإقامة الدولة الفلسطينية وعاصمتها القدس.

The Syrian Arab Republic hopes that the Security Council will consider this dangerous situation and fulfil its obligation to maintain international peace and security, and that it will put an end to the suffering of the Palestinian people and compel Israel to cease its occupation of occupied Arab territory, in accordance with United Nations resolutions and international law.
وإن سورية يحدوها الأمل في أن يضطلع مجلس الأمن في هذا الظرف الخطير بدوره بالحفاظ على السلم والأمن الدوليين وإنهاء معاناة الشعب الفلسطيني وإرغام إسرائيل على إنهاء احتلالها للأراضي العربية المحتلة تنفيذا لقرارات الأمم المتحدة واحتراما للشرعية الدولية.

True to our consistent policy, we should state that the two parties should negotiate the permanent status of the Holy City in conformity with the principles of the Madrid peace agreement and taking into account the need to ensure full Israeli withdrawal from occupied Arab territory, including Jerusalem.
