At the 27th meeting, on 19 November 2004, the Chairman of the Sixth Committee made a statement proposing that the Committee establish a working group to finalize the text of a United Nations declaration on human cloning, on the basis of draft resolution A/C.6/59/L.26, and to report to the Sixth Committee during the current session.

13. Together with Switzerland, in 2007 Morocco initiated a resolution in the Human Rights Council for the drafting of a United Nations declaration on Human Rights Education and Training aimed at strengthening activities related to human rights education and training.

OHCHR organized a panel discussion at the twenty-third session of the Council on the same topic, during which the panellists proposed the elaboration of a United Nations declaration on democracy; setting democracy as a development goal in the post-2015 development agenda; and integrating respect for democracy and the rule of law as assessment benchmarks in the universal periodic review process.

14. The adoption of a United Nations declaration on the rights of indigenous peoples is identified as a major objective by the Vienna Declaration and Programme of Action and the International Decade of the World’s Indigenous People (1995–2004).
٤١ - يعتبر اعتماد إعلان اﻷمم المتحدة بشأن حقوق السكان اﻷصليين أحد اﻷهداف الرئيسية التي حددها إعلان وبرنامج عمل فيينا، والعقــد الدولـي للسكان اﻷصليين في العالم )١٩٩٥-٢٠٠٤(.

Further recalling General Assembly resolution 50/157 in which the establishment of a permanent forum for indigenous people in the United Nations system is pinpointed as one of the major objectives of the International Decade of the World's Indigenous People along with the adoption of a United Nations declaration on the rights of indigenous peoples,
