This resolution affirmed the importance of following up the achievement of the Millennium Development Goals and called upon ministerial councils, specialized Arab agencies and Arab organizations to endeavour to implement the contents of the Arab Declaration on the Millennium Development Goals and coordinate their efforts to that end with those of the Council of Arab Ministers of Social Affairs.

637. In this context, it is appropriate to mention that the Council of Arab Ministers of Social Affairs welcomed, in a resolution of 19 December 2005, the convening of a joint meeting between Arab and South American Ministers of Social Affairs.
ومن الجدير بالذكر في هذا الإطار، أن مجلس وزراء الشؤون الاجتماعية العرب رحب في قرار بتاريخ 19/12/2005، بعقد اجتماع مشترك بين مجلس وزراء الشؤون الاجتماعية العرب، ووزراء الشؤون الاجتماعية في دول أمريكا الجنوبية.

(d) To request the General Secretariat, in coordination with member States and the Council of Arab Ministers of Social Affairs, to work with Arab, regional and international funding institutions towards finding the requisite mechanisms for funding and implementing the programme.
(د) تكليف الأمانة العامة بالتنسيق مع الدول الأعضاء ومجلس وزراء الشؤون الاجتماعية العرب بالعمل مع مؤسسات التمويل العربية والإقليمية والدولية لإيجاد الآليات اللازمة لتمويل وتنفيذ البرنامج.
