The meeting was opened by Mr. Yauvoli, who shared his experience of facing the everyday challenges of climate change as an inhabitant of a small island developing State and his views of the pivotal role of capacity-building at the national level to enable the engagement of, and the dialogue among, all stakeholders to address such challenges.
