GRULAC welcomed the support expressed by other regional groups for development in the Latin America and Caribbean region, and requested the Secretariat to formulate and establish a programme for the region on the basis of General Conference resolution GC.10/Res.8.

74- وأوضح المتكلّم أنّ الاتحاد الروسي يدعم بالكامل مشاركة اليونيدو في أنشطة إعادة التأهيل الصناعي بعد انتهاء الأزمات، بشرط التقيّد الصارم في تنفيذ هذه الأنشطة بولاية المنظمة وبأحكام قرار المؤتمر العام م ع-10/ق-6 بشأن أنشطة اليونيدو في البلدان الخارجة من حالات الأزمات.

In that regard, he recalled the adoption of General Conference resolution GC.10/Res.8, which requested the Director-General to allocate resources to the extent possible to those initiatives and programmes related to the Declaration adopted by the Thirteenth Iberoamerican Summit of Heads of State and Government relevant to UNIDO's mandate, in accordance with the agreed priorities of the Organization.

Mr. Ström (Sweden), speaking on behalf of the European Union, supported by Ms. Oshima (Japan), proposed that in the ninth preambular paragraph the word " voluntary " be inserted before " financial resources " in order to bring the draft resolution into line with the language used in paragraph (b) of General Conference resolution GC.12/Res.1.

١ - في الفترة التي تلت صوغ قرار المؤتمر العام م ع-٧/ق-٨ واعتماده ، عانت البلدان النامية في منطقة آسيا والمحيط الهادىء ، بالرغم من اعتمادها استراتيجيات تطلعية وسياسات تحررية من أجل الاندماج في الاقتصاد العالمي ، من عقبات اقتصادية حادة نتيجة للاضطراب المتواصل في اﻷسواق المالية وأسواق العملات .

Ms. Feroukhi (Algeria), speaking on behalf of the Group of 77 and China, welcomed UNIDO's efforts in implementation of General Conference resolution GC.13/Res.4 and called on the Organization to continue to promote linguistic diversity and respect the equality of the six official languages of the United Nations in its work.
27- السيدة فروخي (الجزائر): تكلمت نيابةً عن مجموعة الـ77 والصين فرحّبت بجهود اليونيدو في العمل على تنفيذ قرار المؤتمر العام م ع-13/ق-4 ودعت المنظمة إلى مواصلة تعزيز التنوع اللغوي واحترام المساواة بين لغات الأمم المتحدة الرسمية الست في أعمالها.

The Organization should comply fully with the provisions of General Conference resolution GC.10/Res.8 concerning poverty reduction in Latin America and the Caribbean, taking as its basis the Declaration adopted by the Thirteenth Iberoamerican Summit of the Heads of State and Government held in Bolivia in November 2003, which referred to the allocation of resources to initiatives and programmes in the region in the framework of UNIDO's mandate.

In decision IDB.19/Dec.3 on the Second Industrial Development Decade for Africa, the Board requested the Director-General (a) to ensure the full implementation of General Conference resolution GC.7/Res.5 and Board decision IDB.17/Dec.4 and (b) to present a comprehen- sive report in that regard to the Board at its twentieth session.
وفي المقرر م ت ص-٩١/م-٣ المتعلق بعقد التنمية الصناعية الثاني ﻷفريقيا ، طلب المجلس الى المدير العام )أ( أن يضمن التنفيذ التام لقرار المؤتمر العام م ع-٧/ق-٥ ومقرر المجلس م ت ص-٧١/م-٤ و )ب( أن يقدم الى المجلس في دورته العشرين تقريرا شاملا بهذا الشأن .
